PERMANENT GROUP OF EXPERTS
The Permanent Group of Experts comprises representatives of the bodies being members of the Interministerial Team for Terrorist Threats.
In order to further detail and elaborate on the issues connected with activities in the field of preventing terrorism, there are appointed sub-teams which are in charge of realisation of tasks related to particular challenges within the safeguarding of national security in the context of preventing terrorism.
A significant role in the area of monitoring terrorist threats is played by the Task Force – Permanent Group of Experts (PGE) which substantively supports the Interministerial Team for Terrorist Threats. The PGE comprises experts of the management level of the services and institutions represented by members of the Interministerial Team for Terrorist Threats.
Out of the basic tasks of the PGE we should highlight: monitoring, analysis and assessment of terrorist threats. It also monitors actions taken by the competent authorities of the governmental administration within the scope of using information on terrorist threats and assesses preparations of the public administration of the Republic of Poland for identifying, preventing and combating terrorism. Within works of the PGE there are also elaborated proposals concerning improvement of the state of preparation of the public administration for preventing and combating terrorism.
- INTERMINISTERIAL TEAM FOR TERRORIST THREATS The Interministerial Team for Terrorist Threats was established on the basis of the Order no. 162 of the Prime Minister of 25 October 2006.
- PERMANENT GROUP OF EXPERTS The Permanent Group of Experts comprises representatives of the bodies being members of the Interministerial Team for Terrorist Threats.
- COUNTER – TERRORIST CENTRE (CTC) The Counter – Terrorist Centre of the Internal Security Agency is a coordination and analysis unit in charge of preventing and combating terrorism.
- GOVERNMENT CENTRE FOR SECURITY Government Centre for Security is a public administration unit subordinated to the Prime Minister.
